Box Office Report: ‘Burt Wonderstone’ Eyeing Dismal $11 Million Weekend; ‘The Call’ Overperforms

"The Call" could near $17 million in its debut; "Oz the Great and Powerful" will again top the chart with a $42 million-plus weekend.

Steve Carell‘s opened to a meek $3.7 million on Friday, putting the magician-themed comedy on course for a dismal $11 million opening weekend.

Conversely, the new Halle Berry thriller overperformed, grossing $6.2 million on Friday for a projected $16 million to $17 million opening and coming in No. 2 behind holdover Disney’s .
