Imax previously screened , an earlier installment of the high octane franchise, in 2011.

The sequel from Universal finds Dom (Diesel) and Brian’s (Paul Walker) crew retired after earning a $100 million haul during the series’ previous installment.

But, unfortunately, they are unable to return home because of charges hanging over their heads.

Hobbs (Johnson) gives the team a chance at redemption when he offers them a job stopping a group of mercenary drivers.

The team says they’ll only accept if the payment is a full pardon.

"Director Justin Lin and stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne Johnson have already proven to be a turbo-charged combination for Imax," said Greg Foster, chairman and president of Imax Entertainment, in a statement Wednesday ahead of the upcoming summer run overseas.
